Selfie Syndrome #wednesdaywisdom

Thoughts?

...Taking selfies too often in inappropriate setting.

Guess again.

That just taking selfies funny enough.

Selfie Syndrome is my own theory that summaries the narcissist attitudes that some social media users have subconsciously fostered over time.

*The Selfie - epitomizing the 21st bandwagon, which we have all fell victim too*
What do I mean?

I mean it seems that the platforms that have been created for us, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram,
ect.... have all created a culture of sharing just for the sake of sharing.

Before, when the technology was new to all of us, posting, twitting, sharing moments of our lives seemed genuine.

Now however, with sites being flooded with users, flaunting idealistic lifestyles, trends and fads, I meant that the term ' keeping up with the Jones' '  has taking a new meaning among millennials in the digital age.

Fitting into these new age norms have created a new online sub-culture of social media users, sharing content to reflect fictional lifestyles similarly shared by their peers, too feel included and marginalized.

Cure?

Possibly the self realization of the power of habit, and how hours of our time sent of social media may manipulate how and why we interact with each other.

Or just snap, tweet and post away...
